03 / LESS SETUP. MORE PLAY.

Good games.
Without the router settings.

UNC handles the connection, so you can
focus on what happens after you spawn.

01

Host a server.

Your game puts your server on the shared server list, with its map, mode and player count.

02

Find your people.

Open the in-game browser and find compatible servers across the supported platforms.

03

Connect & play.

Connect directly to the host. If your network needs a hand, an automatic relay takes over.

Make it your server.

Public matches or private sessions with a 4-digit PIN on PC, Android and Switch.

Both sides of Black Ops II.

Multiplayer and Zombies, with System Link preserved for local play.

Designed around players.

Controller-friendly browsing across platforms. Wii U Player ID and stats information are handled by the Protarium Network.

04 / THE NEXT CHAPTER

05 / GOOD TO KNOW

Before you
drop in.

Is UNC free to use?+

Yes. UNC is a free online layer. You need your own legal copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Do I need to change my router settings?+

No. UNC connects players automatically and uses a relay when a direct connection isn’t possible.

Can every platform host a server?+

Yes. PC, Android, Nintendo Switch and Wii U can all host and join servers. Wii U connects through Unbound, using Protarium to resolve stats and player identification information.

What should Wii U players know?+

Some animations are still being fixed. Private servers are not available on Wii U until the browser’s PIN screen is added.

Does UNC support Zombies and local play?+

Yes. The browser supports Multiplayer and Zombies. System Link remains available for local play, separately from UNC servers.

Is my IP address visible in the browser?+

No. Server addresses are not displayed in the public list. In a direct peer-to-peer connection, the host you join connects to your device.
